Saudi national Abdul-Ilah Al-Qahtani and Palestinian expatriate Mahmoud Nagi Fayyad were the two lucky winners of the latest models of Range Rover jeeps at the draw conducted at the expanded and renovated Tamimi supermarket on Alkhobar Corniche.
Hundreds of Tamimi customers had taken part in “Win Range Rover 2011 With Tamimi Markets” campaign that was launched on Oct. 5 to celebrate the supermarket’s reopening of the iconic store.
The lucky draw was held on Dec. 14 in the presence of a large number of customers, representatives from the Asharqia Chamber and other businesses, and executives of Tamimi Markets.
As the two winners were announced after their entries were picked up by children of two loyal and longtime Tamimi customers, the crowd raised their hands in utter excitement.
The Range Rover jeeps were presented to the winners amid great fanfare.
The winners were later mobbed by the customers and invited guests and everyone was seen congratulating them. Fayyad said he never thought he would win the grand prize while Abdul-Ilah Al-Qahtani said it was all a blessing from Allah.
Tamimi Markets General Manager Mohsen S. Husain said many more exciting promotions have been lined up for their customers in the coming days.
“We are doing well and have an aggressive plan for growth; Tamimi Markets is on the way to becoming a well-known brand not only in the cities in which we operate but throughout the Kingdom,” he said.
He said Tamimi has become synonymous with quality.
“This has always given us an edge over our competitors. We are known for having quality products, a wide variety and dedicated customer service,” Husain added.
